When it came time for Tyler to choose a community service project, it was easy to decide – he wanted to share his love of basketball with others.
A little over three years ago, Tyler started working with his Special Olympics Ventura County Region. He started by selling Mother's Day flowers on a street corner, raising over $1,500 for the local Special Olympics basketball program. The next year, he organized the first-ever unified basketball game within his school district. He met with administration, he sought sponsors, and organized volunteers, and on May 31, 2019, PVSD held its first-ever unified game. Now, with Tyler’s help, the Pleasant Valley School District plans on making the unified basketball game an annual event. Just one example of how 805 Ag Kids are giving back to our community. Go Tyler!
